A vending machine that was able to roll oval-shaped coins was presented for the first time at the World's Columbian Exposition held in Chicago in 1892/93. These “elongated coins” soon became known as “souvenir coins” or “pressed pennies”. Since then, many tourist attractions worldwide have been using these vending machines to make souvenir coins.
This pocket album holds 96 pressed pennies and, thanks to its handy size, is ideal for taking on trips. This will enable you to create a wonderful “travel diary” full of memories over the years.
